Well , first of all don’t panic Docker containers and images are still alive. It’s not that it will change everything.

So is true ? after all this ! this can be true ?

unfortunately yes this is true !

Docker support in the kubelet is now deprecated and will be removed in a future release. The kubelet uses a module called “dockershim” which implements CRI support for Docker and it has seen maintenance issues in the Kubernetes community. We encourage you to evaluate moving to a container runtime that is a full-fledged implementation of CRI (v1alpha1 or v1 compliant) as they become available, you can read more from this link.

What this mean as I read this ,that Docker does not support the Kubernetes Runtime API (CRI) and Kubernetes users have been used service ‘dockershim‘ as a bridge ,this was provided by Kubernetes but it’s going to be no more supported or provided in another releases .

people already started freaking out about this , but I need to remind you that all companies do changes and as developers we need to adopt that change ,if you want to know more and why follow this link from the official kubernetes website : Link

The Microsoft Ignite Cloud Skills Challenge has ended and if you were one of the lucky participants ,

you should by now received an email that say that : “You’ve earned a free Microsoft Certification exam
”

Now some of you may get that email and some other not ,because you have not set a notification email .

what should I do with this free Microsoft Certification ?

There are a lot of certifications, which one fit me ? !…

Why Should I Get a Certification?

A certification is proof that you know what you’re doing. It provides external validation that you have the skills needed to succeed.
More than that , when you are preparing for a certification you are going to learn a lot of new stuff that you may not see in your daily tasks . (do not forget that certifications give you advantage during the hiring process).

schedule your next exam :

You can Browse Certifications Exams from this link .

As you can see there a lot of different certifications and paths .

I suggest if you want to know about cloud and azure that you start with Fundamentals Certifications like : Exam AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
If you are interested about AI , you can start by Exam AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals .

If you already know about the cloud ,azure and you have been working with it , I suggest you go with Associate Certification like : Exam AZ-204: Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure

If have been working more than 3 or 4 years and your target are Expert Certification :

Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert .

Where I can find study Materials?

There are many blog posts ,videos and tutorials about azure certification , but i suggest you start with Microsoft learn website .

How and how can i reedem My certification ?

As you can see , in the gif below steps how to get your certification and claim your voucher .
Ton read more : link

What you can do with Static Web Apps

Azure Static Web Apps is a service that automatically builds and deploys full stack web apps to Azure from a GitHub repository.
When you create an Azure Static Web Apps resource, Azure sets up a GitHub Actions workflow in the app’s source code repository that monitors a branch of your choice. Every time you push commits or accept pull requests into the watched branch, the GitHub Action automatically builds and deploys your app and its API to Azure.

Static web apps are commonly built using libraries and frameworks like Angular, React, Svelte, Vue, or Blazor. These apps include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and image assets that make up the application. With a traditional web server, these assets are served from a single server alongside any required API endpoints.

With Static Web Apps, static assets are separated from a traditional web server and are instead served from points geographically distributed around the world. This distribution makes serving files much faster as files are physically closer to end users. In addition, API endpoints are hosted using a serverless architecture, which avoids the need for a full back-end server all together.

Key features

Web hosting for static content like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and images.

Integrated API support provided by Azure Functions.

First-class GitHub integration where repository changes trigger builds and deployments.

Globally distributed static content, putting content closer to your users.

Free SSL certificates, which are automatically renewed.

Custom domains to provide branded customizations to your app.

Seamless security model with a reverse-proxy when calling APIs, which requires no CORS configuration.

Authentication provider integrations with Azure Active Directory, Facebook, Google, GitHub, and Twitter.

Customizable authorization role definition and assignments.

Back-end routing rules enabling full control over the content and routes you serve.

Generated staging versions powered by pull requests enabling preview versions of your site before publishing.

What you can do with Static Web Apps :

Build modern web applications with JavaScript frameworks and libraries like Angular, React, Svelte, Vue, or using Blazor to create WebAssembly applications, with an Azure Functions back-end.

Publish static sites with frameworks like Gatsby, Hugo, VuePress.

As I’m writing this , Goodbye My Lover by James Blunt is playing in the background

”
Goodbye my lover
Goodbye my friend
You have been the one
You have been the one for me
”
, and let me tell you why xamarin has been the one for me.

before 2016 , I was a student and I discovered Xamarin event way before it was named Xamarin , then I started using it using the student keys because it was paid ,

I remember a couple of my friends saying that It will always be paid for (i think at that time the pack costed 2000$) and I was just a student ,but i believed in the project .

I learned everything about it ,and since it’s using my favourite language c# , It was easy for me to work with and build a couple of applications .

I particiapted in a couple of local competitions in my city and I won a couple of awards thanks to xamarin .

When Microsoft bought Xamarin , it was my first year as a microsoft student partner , and I was completly happy that microsoft bought it .

I kept working with xamarin , netcore and with the power of the cloud , azure I built a couple of other application to friends and For freelance and most of the time for free

It was thanks to xamarin that I had my first job , where I was a net developper , and I build for the company a mobile application using xamarin.forms and it was published both to the app store and play store and they are still using it .

Now let’s see what MICROSOFT is planning for THE FUTURE

Why ?

Under the Title “Build native apps for any device with .NET” and on the first day of build 2020 ,Microsoft announced the journey of single .Net where the goal is to have a framework
with all the tools that a developper neeed to create amazing apps/softwares for all the platforms .

The new platform is called: MAUI for .NET Multi-platform App UI .

What is Multi-platform App UI?

MAUI is essentially the next evolution of Xamarin.Forms. It is a framework that will allow us to create native user interfaces for desktop and mobile devices, and the most surprising thing about this is that it has a single code base and a single project. In other words, no more different heads for each mobile OS (iOS and Android)! Alongside MVVM, MAUI will also support The Elm Architecture popularly known as the MVU (Model View Update) design pattern. MVU encourages a code-first development experience that rapidly updates the UI.

What will happen to Xamarin.Native ?

The Native xamarin project (ios and android) will be moved to Net 6 platform and will be renamed tp Net for Ios and Net for Android .

what happens to Xamarin.Forms

?

Xamarin.forms will continue to receive updates and support only for 12 months after the release of MAUI (yeah ,bad news..) .

When will MAUI be available?

The first preview of .NET MAUI will be the first to take advantage of .NET 6 SDK features such as SDK style projects, build tools, and command line tools.

The roadmap share by Microsoft says that the Net MAUI will be available in November 2021,so yeah we will have to wait till that time .

Well , MAUI now is the feature , it’s Xamarin 2.0 for me ,and I bet the performance will be better ,and creating the UI will be easier than it used to be .

Check the real MAUI Repo on GitHub .

Graph Resource Specific Consent

Your Teams app can now call Teams Graph APIs from the BETA endpoint without needing admin consent. These APIs include creating, renaming, and deleting channels, reading channel messages, creating tabs, and adding/removing members from Teams. This capability will empower Team owners to install an app for their specific team and restrict the app’s scope and access to data to only that one team. This allows team owners to make decisions versus needing the global IT admin to provision access.

If you want to discover a bit of the functionalities you can take a turn at the graph-explorer where you can test some of the new functionalities including Microsoft teams .
